Catherine Bolman is associate professor in health psychology at the Open University of the Netherlands (faculty of psychology). Her areas of expertise are health behaviour change and patient education. She has great expertise in and scientific knowledge on determinants of health related behaviours and on developing, evaluating and disseminating different kind of behavioural interventions (e.g. face-to-face and telephone counselling, computer tailoring, motivational interviewing). She supervises PhD projects in the area of smoking cessation and relapse prevention, stimulation of physical activity in general populations and high-risk groups, well-being and lifestyle in cancer survivors. Her publications concentrate on these areas.
