I am interested in signaling and transcriptional control of cell fate. Pluripotent stem cells may remain pluripotent, or become any cell type found in the body. These fates are directed by signals from other cells and by effectors, including transcription factors, within the cell. Unraveling these pathways will advance our basic understanding of human biology and disease, and lead to better-designed and targeted therapies.
