About

Proliferating-cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) is reversibly ubiquitylated during the cell cycle. In this post-translational modification underlies the mechanism of tolerance to DNA damage in eukaryotes. Although the evolutionary conserved mechanism of PCNA ubiquitylation is well understood, the deubiquitylation of ubPCNA remains poorly characterized. Our group is interested in understanding the role and the biological significance of ubPCNA deubiquitylation in fission and budding yeast.
