G protein coupled receptors: expression, functional and structural studies. Currently focusing on cannabinoid receptor CB2. Prior work includes discovery and functional characterization of the tryptophan-rich sensory protein (TSPO), a bacterial homologue of the peripheral benzodiazepine receptor. Indutrial experience includes Senior Scientist positions at Kosan Biosciences, Inc (modulare polyketide synthases) and Roche Vitamins, Inc. (biotechnology of carotenoid production).
