What is the latest technology in concentrating solar power?
My master is in solar energy especially in concentrating solar power..
The problem is that i can't find the point of my research and i hope you can help me

I'm finishing a master's thesis on Solar Refrigeration through an Absorption System, moved by a parabolic through concentrator.
The first goal was to compute the use of a Scheffler reflector. But i had to abandon the idea, because of lack of data to compute it's behaviour. As simples as the lack of the Bliss equation parameters to one Scheffler Reflector!!
So, what do you want to do?
If you research the reviews on solar concentration, you'll find very poor references to the fixed point solar concentrator known as Scheffler Reflector. The great advantage of it is that is is an open patent, created for development cooperation projects. Technicaly, it is very viable. But there are few studies on it.
Of course, the point of your research must be YOURS! :)
But you asked! So, why don't you take a look on this technology? -
It could be solar receivers.

When I made a search in Google, I found that There are about 11,400 results on Scheffler reflector, At least the top 10 to 15 are on the specific topic.. When you are finishing the thesis arguing that "because of lack of data" is against facts

Solar Energy is quit high at my home town. Solar Radiation is average 465 watt per sq.m. through out the year. The main point of solar energy conversion research should concider on the efficiency. but now the good Idea may waiting for you !

Now a days Solar energy conversion is a very high bhoom area,if it is Organic solar conversion,useful for every aspects,but the problem is life time and degradation,if we overcome it , it is useful to our society,to do it take a challenge and prove it to anybody

Look, you said that you will study solar concentration. It has a reason to do that, isn´t it? You should look carefully to your problem that gives you in this way. Each application has different requirements, that can be optically, demand control, temperature, ... My advise is: found something usefull for your problem and at the same time interesting for the local industry, population, ...
