Treatment advances in Viral Keratitis ?

Viral conjuctivitis is a contagious eye infection, caused by the adenovirus, Although some research shows that it may be transmitted by air droplets and swimming pools, the most common way it develops is by direct contact with tears or other fluids from infected eyes. Antibiotics usually are the mainstay of treatment for bacterial forms of conjunctivitis, while relief of symptoms and acyclovir ophthal preparations are used but still there is not stright treatment available for treating the viral keratitis. What may be the best treatment modalities in managing the viral keratitis ?
