Tensor interactions in nuclei

I have some familiarity with the analytical description of the deuteron as founded by Rarita and Schwinger in form of a Schroedinger equation with a tensor potential. I would like to understand this approach in geometrical terms, making explicit the transformations of the Schroedinger equation, in particular the tensor potential, under coordinate and spin-frame changes (as usually done as example for Dirac and Schroedinger equations on (pseudo-)riemannian manifolds). Could anyone provide references or suggestions?
