Question

Stem cell fat grafting

I was wondering if you could share your experience regarding the enrichment of autologous fat cells using stem cells so as to reduce resorption of the graft in the filling of depressions in the skin.

    Dear Vania
We have experience in recovering pure (operationally and phenotypically) MSC from human fat tissues with robust reproducibility. I like to see that theses stem cells are being used for tissue regeneration and and for the reduction of resorption of graft tissues. Curiously enough, these MSC seem to be not rejcted when grafted in mice. I am retred but I would like to see some work is carried out with these MSC. Coincidentallyy, theses cells were purified with competence by Marco Andreyn (an Associate Professor of Dermatology, in Rebeiro Preto) in my then Lab, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Presntly I spend my retired life mostly at the University of Birmingham , UK as an Honorary Senior Researcher, and I shall look forward to continue some collaborative work .
