In my view the best management of wilt is possible through combined treatment of seed with raw cow milk (1:1 ratio) and Gliocladium virens (0.6%) and soil treatment of G. virens in FYM @ 10 g per meter square of land. I am sure this will manage the disease considerably. Though, we have not seen experimentally the effect of these bioagents on cumin blight but I think this treatment will reduce the disease significantly. In case of blight raw cow milk (15%) can be sprayed one month after sowing for 4-5 times after every 10 days interval to avoid any infection of Alternaria.
Green manuring- green manure crop first spray with suitable bio-agents (Trichoderma, Pseudomonas etc.) then incorporate in soil.
Application of FYM colonized with suitable bio-agents (Trichoderma sp.) at the time of field preparation.
Application of Vermicompost.
