Can any one help me out on researchable topics in Environmental Chemistry and with whom to carry out the research in Nigeria?

I had an M.Sc in Environmental Chemistry and Pollution Control from UI, Nigeria and I want to proceed for my PhD.My master thesis was on Speciation study on the impact of copper based pesticides on the soil of cocoa plantations from two south western States ,Nigeria.

    Kongrat. i also has an msc in Analytical chem. my research was on environmental studies too, i.e determination of SO2 IN KANO METROPOLIS USING bioindicators thro automated titration of distillate from the bio indicators at Bayero Univ. Kano. You can consult Prof J.T aYODELE FROM CHEM DEPT BUK and Prof Ajibola from ABU, he was my external examiner. tanx

    Based on your results and conclusion from your M.SC. topic you can proceed with your ph.D. For example,look critically at your results, did you take into consideration the depth profile of the soil with respect to the elements in question. Did you consider possible contamination with nearby river,well or bore holes? were you able to consider concentration of some other elements for possible speciation. Which of the species predominates(reducible,oxidizable etc)?

    Congratulations! I will rather ask you - which research area do you have interest? Do you want to continue with similar research interest as your MSc project? Where do you want to study and who do you want to research with? I'll want you to answer some basic questions about your desire for research that will lead to a PhD. Sort out yourself first then ask specific questions...
