<br />
The main responsibilities of the role will involve the sampling and testing of raw materials / packaging materials / intermediates / finished products / stability samples to strict timescales in order to support the business needs. It also includes the active participation in project work and the generation of documentation.<br />
<br />
Responsibilities:<br />
· Sampling and analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates and finished products<br />
· Preparation and analysis of stability studies and samples<br />
· Preparation of analytical reports<br />
· Writing/reviewing of analytical specifications<br />
· Writing/reviewing of SOPs for the Analytical Laboratory<br />
· Writing/reviewing of COSHH and Risk Assessments<br />
· Analytical test method development and validation<br />
· To observe and comply with GMP and GLP<br />
<br />
Person Profile:<br />
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent in a chemistry related subject as well as hands on experience of analytical chemistry (including the use of instrumentation such as HPLC and GC) within a GMP/GLP facility, this would be preferably from the pharmaceutical industry, although not essential.<br />

Generate, record and report analytical data in line with departmental procedures. <br />
Good organisational, interpersonal and time management skills. <br />

Complete work and documentation to standards of compliance designated by external Regulatory bodies and internal Company procedures. <br />
Ability to implement improvements and generate ideas. Contribute to own training. Have a good attendance and time keeping record in accordance with the general working practices of the department. <br />

Qualifications/Skills: Either BTEC HNC with relevant experience in a laboratory or Science degree with practical laboratory elements (or equivalent). Knowledge of Analytical chemistry. <br />

As QC Analyst the main purpose of your role will be:<br />

Testing all internal and external biopharmaceutical products.<br />
Involved in biochemical analysis of products and provide specialist and technical scientific knowledge and expertise to evaluate all aspects of the laboratory functions.<br />
Involved in testing of samples using a range of analytical techniques.<br />
Interpretation of test results as and when required.<br />
<br />
As QC Analyst you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:<br />
<br />
BSc in Biochemistry, Chemistry or a related subject (or equivalent) with previous experience of working within the Pharmaceutical Industry.<br />
Previous knowledge and understanding of biochemical and analytical disciplines aligned to Chemistry in the context of biopharmaceutical product release is essential.<br />
Previous experience of Capillary Electrophoresis is desired.<br />
Knowledge of GMP working practices is also required.<br />
