Assistant Professor Job - Department of Sociology

Job Description

The Department of Sociology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 2011.

Required Qualification

The successful candidate will demonstrate both the willingness and ability to regularly teach sociological theory to undergraduate majors. The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of scholarly potential. Ph.D. in Sociology or Applied Sociology by August 2011.

Preferred Qualification

A track record of innovative approaches to teaching is strongly preferred. Areas of specialization are open, but life course or gerontology areas are preferred.
