Coventry University is delighted to offer a number of Studentships across the School of Art and Design in the following areas:

  • Media and Communications (including Global Media, Culture & Politics, Digital Media Culture, Open Media, Specialist Journalism and new Consumer Cultures)
  • Industrial Design (including Sustainable Design, Biomechanics, Design Innovation, Inclusive Design & Health Products, Integrated Transport Design and Ergonomics)
  • Contemporary Art, Design and Craft (including Painting, Digital Media, Drawing, Animation, Sound, Performance, Ceramics, Installation, Sculpture, Art / Design in Public and Social Space, Fashion and The Body.

The Studentships for enrolment commencing September 2010 will provide the opportunity to undertake research leading to the award of PhD. These Prestigious awards will be granted to those applicants (available to UK/EU only) who demonstrate excellent academic achievement and present a high quality research proposal (2000 words) based upon the subject area selected.
The Studentship Awards comprise a Maintenance Grant of £12,867 plus Home/EU fees equivalent
