Responsibilities
This position is responsible for assisting the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs in the day-to-day operations and the scheduling of all activities of the facilities for Intramurals and
Recreations Sports. Primary duties consist of, but are not limited to, developing intramurals schedules and activities; scheduling games and preparing tournament brackets; supervising intramurals
games; preparing safety manual, policy manual, rules and regulations for each activity and for teams and individuals who participate in intramural and recreational sports; co-coordinating campus-wide
Health Fair promoting healthy lifestyles for students; maintaining and overseeing Wellness Program for faculty, staff and students; developing and producing the Fitness calendar of events;
anticipating and identifying issues, areas of improvement, and produce viable and logical solution deliverables; assisting with interdepartmental projects; designing and updating Intramurals web page
to target students, faculty and staff; publishing ongoing campus announcements on upcoming activities; maintaining records, preparing, updating and analyzing statistical reports, evaluations,
participation surveys, and program manuals; determining program fiscal needs and preparing and monitoring the unit; developing opportunities for staff and student growth and effective department
operations; training and supervising all staff coordinators, associates, student hourly workers, work study and student interns; and oversee training of referees and student workers.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have knowledge of NCAA Rules and Regulations; must basic skills in recreational and intramural sports and activities such as badminton, tennis, aerobics fitness,
board games; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and good computer skills to include the use of the MS Office Suite. Must be willing and able to work weekends. Must be willing and able
to work Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Five years of experience in recreation, physical education, or student affairs, community centers, outdoor recreation or recration managmement at an institution of higher education. Fundamental
knowledge of sports officiating covering all sports; demonstrated ability to coordinate sports tournaments and leisure activities.

Master's degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Education, Student Personnel Administration, Leisure Services or Recreation Management
