Job description

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics, McMaster University, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Algebra and Number Theory at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a PhD and provide clear evidence of an outstanding research programme in a major area of Algebra and Number Theory.

Position

The successful applicant may also be nominated for a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (www.chairs-chaires.gc.ca), tenable for five years and renewable once. These prestigious positions are for exceptional emerging researchers, acknowledged by their peers as having the potential to become international leaders in their field.
