Job description

The Office of Population Research at Princeton University seeks a postdoctoral research associate to work on the New Immigrant Survey Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing, research, and interpretation of cross-section data and panel data of New Immigrant Survey - NIS 2003; managing the implementation of the second-round survey documentation; preparation of related public release files; creation of second-round documentation such as codebooks, questionnaire, and file contents for each section of round one; writing documentation for data files and research reports; collaboration in data analysis for manuscripts, submission to scientific journals, and professional meeting presentations; editing and authoring materials for survey respondents; providing technical assistance to data users; and overseeing the work of undergraduate and graduate assistants.


Requirements

Candidates should have a completed PhD, preferably in a social science field. Candidates near the completion of their PhD who have submitted but not yet defended the Ph.D. thesis will be considered. However, the appointment will be subject to a 10% reduction in salary until the degree is completed. The initial appointment will be for a one-year term with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance, continued funding and approval by Princeton's Dean of the Faculty and the Office of Population Research.
