Scientific Associate, in vivo Biology
Our client, a leading biotechnology company, is looking for a Scientific Associate, Immunology to join their team.
We seek an associate with strong in vivo biology experience to play an integral role in GNF's target discovery efforts. The position requires a demonstrated understanding of animal physiology, drug delivery (i.e. oral, intravenous, intraperitoneal, etc.), physiological sampling, and expertise in developing animal models in the area of metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.

Responsibilities include:
•Small animal handling, minor surgery and dosing
•In vivo sample collection (e.g. blood and tissue)
•Analysis of samples by FACs, RNA isolation and Taqman qRT-PCR, etc
Required skills:

The ideal candidate will have a B.S./M.S. degree in biology and have >8 years of laboratory experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical setting and have the ability to work independently and to collaborate with a multi-disciplined group in a goal- and team- oriented setting. Excellent communication, organization, planning and record keeping, data analyses are a must, as well as the ability to work in a highly-interactive and fast-paced drug discovery environment. Prior experience with flow cytometry, including cell sorting, is also required.
