The Genetics Policy Institute has partnered with leading academic institutions to create the most influential and important gatherings in the field by bringing together leaders in research, business, advocacy, finance, law and ethics to chart the future of regenerative medicine.

The World Stem Cell Summit serves as the single global meeting bringing together all of the stakeholder communities to learn and facilitate collaborations and thereby advance economic development, technology transfer, commercialization, private investment and philanthropy.

The theme of the 2011 Summit is translational regenerative medicine- bridging the bench to the bedside. The comprehensive program will feature science, industry and society tracks. The science track will cover all areas of stem cell research (embryonic, tissue specific and reprogrammed cells), disease models, drug discovery, tissue engineering, scaffolds, bioreactors and nanotechnology. Several panels covering progress reports for cancer, diabetes, spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s/ALS/Neurological Disorders and cardiovascular disease. Numerous panels cover translational issues, commercialization, funding, economic development, philanthropy, regulatory agencies’ perspectives, patient advocacy, law and ethics.
