Interaction Designer

We are looking for an experienced Interaction Designer with a broad knowledge of many design disciplines, excellent communication skills, and a problem seeking mentality. This position is full-time.

Responsibilities

• Be at the intersection of product and engineering to prototype, design and build new features benefiting researchers worldwide
• Develop designs of the highest quality with ultimate aesthetics and clean consistency
• Implement and extend the style guidelines
• Execute in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment

Requirements

• Strong design portfolio with examples of well-thought out interactions and clear visuals across web applications (not just static web sites)
• Experience building web or desktop applications
• Extremely detail oriented. Strives for pixel perfect implementation in all browsers
• Technical expertise in XHTML/CSS, Javascript, PHP
• Clear verbal communicator and detail oriented
• Excellent command of English and German
